A charitable gift annuity is a transfer of your financial assets or real estate to a nonprofit organization, such as Father Joe’s Villages and partner agencies which pays you a fixed income for the rest of your life. The great benefit of charitable gift annuities is that they pay a much higher rate of return than an average money market fund or savings account. Depending on your age, you can receive between 6% and 11.3% return on your gift. Upon you death, the remaining principal is paid to the organization.

A charitable remainder trust is a significant irrevocable gift of cash or property. You receive an immediate charitable deduction and a lifetime of income for yourself or for your beneficiaries with the principal eventually transferring to Father Joe’s Villages and partner agencies.
