Expanding Mental Health Services for the Homeless
San Diego – An open forum for community comment on expanding mental health services for homeless children, youth, adults and older adults will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Village Joan Kroc Center on Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
At the forum, County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency's Mental Health Services and the Mental Health Board will be seeking input from homeless services providers and the general public.
The forum is one in a series held as part of local planning for implementation of the California Mental Health Services Act, Proposition 63, which was passed by California voters in November 2004. The act is projected to bring approximately $40 million to San Diego County to expand and develop innovative and integrated mental health services for children, youth, adults and older adults.
