Construction of Workforce/Affordable Housing Starts
In Downtown San Diego
Groundbreaking ceremonies today kick off construction of a $72 million high-rise complex with 136 apartments for families in one-, two- and three bedroom units. Father Joe’s Villages will manage the building, a unique high-rise affordable housing development in the City of San Diego.

Fast Facts
Father Joe’s Villages plans to more than double the number of its affordable housing units
in San Diego before 2009, making it a county leader in workforce/affordable housing.
Building three new complexes in the next two years, the Villages will add 220 units
of very livable and truly affordable housing in San Diego.
Currently Father Joe’s Villages has 137 units in existing buildings at Village Place
and Villa Harvey Mandel in the East Village.
