Local Winery to Host Auction Benefiting
Scholarship Fund for Village Teens

SAN DIEGO – The Bernardo Winery, located at 13330 Paseo Del Verano Norte, will host an auction benefiting St. Vincent de Paul Villageís teen scholarship fund on Sunday, November 7, at 12 p.m.

Items to be auctioned include an original oil painting by Louie Icon, bronze sculptures, exquisite jewelry, sports memorabilia,
paintings, crystal and antiques.

"We're encouraging San Diegans interested in supporting our teens or those looking to start their holiday shopping early to come out and bid on the auction items," says Village President Father Joe Carroll. "Itíll be a great event and lend much-needed support to our teen scholarship fund."

More and more, young people graduating from the Village's teen academy are going on to college, says Father Joe. A recent graduate of the program is now attending Hofstra, and others are enrolled at community colleges and universities throughout California, he says.

Funds raised at Sunday's event will support these graduates and the many who will inevitably follow, says Father Joe.
