Hard Rock Run to Raise Funds for St. Vincent’s
After Turkey Dinners, Runners Look for Caloric Redemption

SAN DIEGO — The Hard Rock Café La Jolla will host the 11th Annual Rock-n-Roll Run to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Village on Saturday, Nov. 25. The "Little Rockers" 1-mile Fun Run will start at 7:30 a.m. with the 5-kilometer race following at 8 a.m. Both events begin and end at the Hard Rock Café La Jolla at 909 Prospect.

As many as 2,000 participants will take to the streets of La Jolla, enjoying a breath-taking view of the Pacific Ocean while also making a difference in the lives of thousands of San Diego’s homeless families and individuals.

Last year’s event raised $17,000 for the Village, an amount on which Father Joe Carroll, president of St. Vincent’s and honorary race director, is eager
to improve.

"Every year we see an increase in the demand for services the Village offers, especially during the winter months," he says. "To meet the needs of this growing population – many of them families with children – we depend on the success of events such as this run."

Run participants will be treated to a post-race party where they will receive a Hard Rock Café event T-shirt and enjoy the restaurant’s famous chili as well as fruit and refreshments.

Sponsors of this year’s event include San Diego’s 101 KGB, eFind.com, United Airlines, Hyatt Regency and Hard Rock Café La Jolla.

Individuals interested in participating may register in-person at the Hard Rock Café La Jolla. A $22 contribution is required for the 5-K run and $15 for the Fun Run. Registration the day of the event is $25.

For more information on the event, please call (619) 298-7400.
