Game, Dinner
SAN DIEGO – LaDainian
Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers has invited 20 teenagers
from St.
Vincent de Paul Village’s
Toussaint Teen Center to his team’s Sunday, November
23 match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals. The youngsters
and three chaperones will gather outside Qualcomm Stadium’s
Gate A at 12 p.m. where they will receive their tickets and
be escorted to their seats.
After the game, the star running
back will join and treat the teens to dinner at Dave & Busters,
located at 2931 Camino Del Rio North.
Father Joe Carroll,
president of St. Vincent’s, says
he is heartened by Tomlinson’s generosity and compassion
for underprivileged youngsters. "
This isn’t the first time LaDainian has treated our kids
to a game and dinner," he says. "He doesn’t
do it for the publicity … he truly wants to make a
positive difference in the lives of these kids, and he definitely
has
achieved that."
