St.
Vincents Welcomes Homeless,
Needy Neighbors for Thanksgiving Meal
St.
Vincent de Paul Village will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal
at its 1501 Imperial Avenue location today at 11 a.m.
The
annual holiday feast attracts more than 1,500 non-resident homeless
family members, single adults and area neighbors in need.
As
many as 100 volunteers will assist St. Vincents staff with
preparing and serving turkey and all the trimmings.
Unlike
other organizations which only participate in seasonal outreach,
the Village provides meals to non-residents 365 days a year. More
than one million meals are served at St. Vincents annually.
For
more information, please call (619) 525-1608.
