Thank You from Grateful Residents

I came to live at Martha’s Village & Kitchen in July 2003. I had just come out of a recovery home. I learned a lot here because I know now how to humble myself and be considerate of others. I got my sense of responsibility back. I’m reaching all of my goals with the help of my Lord and Martha’s staff.

Thank you,

Luz O.

Anna Plaster, Luz’s case manager, reports that Luz was reunited with her five children since arriving at the Village, has obtained full-time employment, and is now searching for permanent housing.

Excerpt from a letter to Martha’s staff

… It looks good here in Lake Tahoe. I can plan a little quiet peaceful life now. It’s not the Tahoe dream I pictured, but I’m blessed, so what can I say but thank God for Martha’s for helping me live to see this day when I realize I’m going to be alright.

Brad B.

Nadia Torres and Peggy Reid were Brad’s case managers.
