Brining gifts to the Village

  Martha’s Village & Kitchen would like to give a big thanks to all our volunteers who devoted their time and energy to us during this past holiday season. We had an enormous turnout on Thanksgiving with over 350 volunteers coming to help prepare for and serve meals. We had such a tremendous response and all could feel their holiday cheer!

   On Christmas over 200 volunteers came out as early as 6 a.m. to begin preparation for serving 2,100 meals. People in line carried down the street and around the block while waiting for the hot turkey dinner with all the trimmings. After enjoying the hearty meal, hundreds of adults and children waited in line to receive gifts and backpacks filled with daily essentials.

   Once again, this day could not have happened without the hard work, dedication and generous spirit of our volunteers. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful members from our community who are willing to donate their time to us.

   Thank you, too, to all volunteers who continue to lend a helping hand in the new year. Your time and support are sincerely appreciated.
