Our Shining Stars

    April brings more than flowers to our desert landscape. It's the month we celebrate another precious resource, our volunteers. On a daily basis they enrich and make a difference in the lives of many people, changing them forever.

   In April, Martha's Village & Kitchen staff came together for the 2004 Volunteer Appreciation dinner and awards ceremony at Trump 29 Casino honoring the Village's hundreds of volunteers.

   Co-founders, Gloria Gomez and Claudia Castorena presented Friend of Martha's awards to Diana Benitez, Nancy A. Kuh and Anne Smith, and the Sharing God's Blessing award to Joyce Oldenburg. They also made a special presentation to Kent McClun of Wells Fargo Bank for his continuous support of the Village.

   Our Corporate Sponsor Wells Fargo Bank hosted the lovely dinner and local businesses donated gifts for the raffle.
